As Baltimore Public Schools faced significant budget shortfall and looming layoffs, administration officials created a false narrative with the Baltimore Teachers Union being at the center its many problems. With BTU frequently facing an onslaught of attacks, the union quickly needed to implement a crisis communications strategy to revamp their messaging and media relations. That’s where Feldman Strategies came in. Since Feldman Strategies teamed up with BTU, we’ve worked to inoculate the union from attack while staying on message as being pro-student, pro-educator and an advocate of public education. Feldman Strategies brought BTU’s progressive work to the forefront by having its innovative B3 School enrollment program highlighted on national television. We’re now an ingrained part of the BTU Communications Team.
