California bee farmer Michael Eggman ran twice to defeat tea-party incumbent U.S. Congressman Jeff Denham and he came closer than most people ever do to defeating a congressional incumbent. Following the election of Donald Trump, Eggman decided to do something that was bigger than himself and launch Red to Blue California, a PAC with the priority of flipping Congressional seats in California from red-to-blue. The initial focus, the seven California districts carried by Hillary Clinton in 2016 that are currently represented by Republicans in Congress. For the launch of Red to Blue, a splash was needed.
