Feldman Strategies Welcomes Emma Thomas As Firm’s Newest Senior Hire
Emma Thomas joins Feldman Strategies as Director
WASHINGTON – Feldman Strategies, a prominent boutique progressive communications firm, is expanding its senior leadership team as it continues to grow its client roster and looks to offer additional communications capabilities.
The firm announced on Monday, January 10, 2022, that Emma Thomas has joined as Director. Emma, who is a seasoned communications strategist with deep subject matter expertise in health care policy, will apply her expertise in media relations, campaign organizing, and public affairs to elevate Feldman Strategies’ clients’ profiles in the media.
Emma joins Feldman Strategies with a keen understanding and passion for the intersection between the media, public policy, and communications, having most recently co-led BerlinRosen’s reproductive health, rights, and justice portfolio and voting rights work.
As Account Director at BerlinRosen, Emma secured thought leadership opportunities for statewide political leaders and led multi-organizational coalitions in the paid leave and reproductive rights spaces. She worked on ongoing efforts to federally repeal the Helms and Hyde Amendments and also developed, coordinated, and executed the national communications strategies for the most recent abortion rights cases that have come before the U.S. Supreme Court – June Medical Services LLC v. Russo (2020), Whole Woman’s Health v. Jackson (2021), and Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization (2021). Prior to BerlinRosen, Emma was a senior communications associate at Avalere Health where she advised health providers, policymakers, and patient advocacy groups on strategic communications plans to engage with key stakeholders.
